Is it constructed well?Very well
Is It easy to understand and use?Easy
I just used the bottle holder on an eight day elk hunt in some very steep and rugged terrain in Colorado. The bottle holder held my Nalgene 32oz perfectly. Never once did I worry about the bottle falling out. The only time I felt the bottle on my side was when my IA6k was full and that wasn’t even that bad, in daypack mode you can’t feel it.
The only down side to this pouch is that it can be a little cumbersome to get the bottle out since it holds so well. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars and that’s really just being nitpicky.
This is a great addition if you like to drink from a Nalgene and have it on your hip.
Great water bottle retention without having to deal with any retaining straps, keeps its form for putting your water bottle back in securely and easily. Fit’s in a perfect spot at about the 7-8 o’clock spot on your pack belt to stay out of the way yet still be accessible. Well thought out!
I’ve used several different bottle holders and this one is the best. The attachment system gives you a wide range of options to attach to any pack system. The holder is insulated to keep your drink cooler in warmer weather and keep it from freezing in colder temps. It’s easy to retrieve your bottle but it’s not too loose as to drop your bottle when you don’t expect it. With a lesser holder, I lost a bottle while hunting but not with this holder.
Exactly what I was looking for. I do not like have a drink hose dangle and leak in front of me all day, or cleaning platypus bladders, and also dislike having to take off the pack to get water. I am extremely impressed with the construction and bottle security, and I am actually most impressed with how tightly it connects to the pack hip belt. Does not swing around at all or feel cumbersome. Dennis wrote a note on the receipt to their instruction video which I appreciated.
