Who is Initial Ascent

Yes. All IA packs work off of a single frame and suspension system. You can interchange the bags and Pannier Load Carrier at will. No need to buy a separate suspension system.
The material we use is a 500D Cordura which is very water resistant but not waterproof. If your hunting in wet environment, we recommend our IA Rain Cover.
Yes. We have the Integrous Frame for torso lengths from 18-22".
And our Invictus Female Frame for torso lengths 13-17". This frame will also work for kids who fall into that torso length range.
It does come standard with the IA Day Pack, but it does not come with the IA3K, the IA5K, or the IA8K Pack Systems. The Pannier isn't required for packing meat, but we definitely recommend it.

I never leave home without this cub attachment. I use it as a glassing pad as well as carrying either my puffy gear (top/bottom) or my rain gear. If I’m running out of room or need an easier access to something - I’ll throw some more stuff in the cub. 100% highly recommend it!
Works good for that little bit extra
The cub bag is great! I just wish it had snaps instead of whatever these things are. They are a pain to get in and out as described in your videos.
Works good and fits about 5 days worth of calories with main meals being freeze dried
Plan to attach to the pannier load carrier in conjunction with the lid and use as a day pack.

Nancy doesn’t really have an opinion about the pack and accessories since she bought the IA5K setup for John (me) for Christmas. I checked it all out and am super excited to get my Christmas present in a few days. I absolutely love the equipment and will be load testing it soon. I narrowed my choices to three high end brands, two of which I was able to try out either at the manufacturer or at a retail outlet. Your podcast and beliefs was the thing that swayed my decision when I was down to two brands. I listen to the podcast from the other company as regularly as I do yours but the Oct 21 episode “When God sends you an elk tag,” was my decision point. In a world gone astray, you keep your values and don’t hide them or hold back for fear of offending someone with your beliefs. You are my kind of people. I resumed hunting this year after years off for work and raising three boys, and they all hunt to some extent. Looking forward to getting deeper into the mountains with this pack. John

The cub is my favorite accessory, perfect for those things you want to keep ready for day mode without always having to unpack and repack. Drop the bag, strap the lid and cub on and go. Well done with this accessory.
This bag is awesome for quick access items. I plan on keeping my inflatable raft or 2 large containers of water. Plus this helps protect my rifle and bow when im rucking in long distances.

Absolutely the diamond in the rough… the extra storage added onto my daypack was a lifesaver and it also doubles as my glassing seat. Great product!
Probably my favorite addition to my pack system, great for extra game bags, pack jacket, etc. Easy to remove when you don't need it, e.g. after that first trip back and you've gotta go back in for another quarter.

Absolutely love the cub for my IA daypack set-up. Adds the perfect amount of volume. Stuff the pack with rain gear and puffy and makes a great pillow or back rest when I'm glassing or taking a siesta.
So far so good got it installed and waiting for the snow to melt a bit so I can get out. Quality is top notch as always and function looks flawless as well.
