How To Measure Your Torso for Frame Size:
You'll need someone's help, so grab a friend!
Bend your head down and find your C7 vertebrae - it is the one that protrudes out. That will be your starting measurement point.
Find the top of your hip bones and form a straight line across your back. That is your ending measurement point.
For a visual of this process, check out our video below:Ā
How To Measure Your Hip Belt Size:
Our hip belt sizing is based off of your pant size. So whatever your pant size is in inches, would be what you use for your Hip Belt Size.
The triaxial carbon fiber structure combined with additional strategically placed composite materials provides the greatest strength to weight ratio on the market.Ā We are confident in delivering a frame that is not only comfortable, but provides the ability to haul extremely heavy loads.
The key to the frameās design is its shape. This allows the heaviest load to be positioned in the center of your back by spreading the weight over your hips, minimizing muscle fatigue and shoulder strain. To stay cooler in hot conditions, the shape maintains air flow around your back. The frame also follows the natural curvature of your spine, providing extreme comfort in all conditions.
We offer a 100% lifetime warranty for any material defects and workmanship to the original purchaser. For any damages outside of normal wear, we can repair it at a reasonable cost.
The Integorus and Invictus Frames have a LIFETIME GUARANTEE.
Yes. All IA packs work off of a single frame and suspension system. You can interchange the bags and Pannier Load Carrier at will. No need to buy a separate suspension system.
The material we use is a 500D Cordura which is very water resistant but not waterproof. If your hunting in wet environment, we recommend out IA Rain Cover.
Yes. We have the Integrous Frame for torso lengths from 18-22".
And our Invictus Female Frame for torso lengths 13-17". This frame will also work for kids who fall into that torso length range.
It does come standard with theĀ IA Day Pack, but it doesĀ not comeĀ with the IA3K, the IA5K, or the IA8K Pack Systems. The Pannier isn't requiredĀ for packing meat, but we definitely recommend it.Ā
Love it! Itās been on my back the entire PA rifle season and is the most comfortable and capable pack Iāve ever worn. It hauls a quartered whitetail like thereās nothing on my back. I was fortunate to pack two out this season and both were comftorable and everything worked great.

Best back country hunting back pack in the game! Iāve used a couple different packs out there and always struggled with discomfort in my shoulders. Usually due to me having a longer upper torso and not being able to get a good fit with the hip belt. I can carry a lot more weight without any discomfort with this pack. My son and I went on a trip and my pack alone was 75lbs but it felt like 50lbs.

The best frame pack on the market! Absolutely love it!! Made to fit every body build! Love the way the meat shelf and frame works! Can not say enough good things about them!!!

This pack has been on some journey.
From the mountains of Alaska to the Hills of Ireland. From the essentials to firewood to meat itās put in the work!
The InitialAscent name and pack are top shelf and have never let me down!

Day pack mode is great, can stuff a lot of insulation layers in it for a late season hunt! Canāt wait for my CUB to arrive so I can have a little more space. Overall an awesome piece of kit, well done IA!
Bought the daypack and took it to northwest Montana through some of the thickest brushiest country imaginable. The pack held up well and packed out my first elk with. It felt as good with 70lbs on my back as without. It was also big enough for enough supplies for an overnight trip. I will probably buy a bigger pack for some week long hunts!

After meeting Dennis at mountain archery fest at blacktail this summer, he showed me the capabilities of this frame and system. I ordered the day pack the following week and had it set up for before my first elk hunt. Itās now packed out 2 bulls, one cow, and a couple deer. Iāve used other very good packs, but I imeediately sold the last one to get into the initial ascent frame. With a poor back and bad knees, Iāve been able to handle loads up to 180 pounds without any injuries. The system is versatile and once I add the 2k bag, itās going to be an awesome addition to my backcountry skiing this winter.

So far, Iāve only used it for rucks and itās been working great it was a little tricky to get set for my body, but after I got it set up, it fits great

Prepping for a late season Elk hunt and hiking 6 miles a session on trails that go up and down River Bluffs with 40 lb sand bag on the load shelf. The fit of the pack is perfect with the oversized lumbar support pad and large waist belt. Balancing with the load straps and having a CF frame there wasn't shifting or concerns with that weight. Normally hunt whitetail deer in the Ozark area of Missouri with saddle hunting gear and 60 ft. of rope with another pack. Thought struggling with the weight of that gear was just what should be expected. This level of pack is a game changer for myself. Thanks IA

Best frame out there.

Spent 5 days elk hunting in Colorado spot and stalk. Used the pack everyday while trying to get ahead of bulls. The pack is comfortable and has enough room to accommodate what you would need for yourself and to process an animal. All around good setup. Would recommend a few adjustments. Extend the pannier pocket to accept a 3-quart water bladder with top closure and hanging hook for a bladder, incorporate a āpocketā on the padded belt to accept a rifle butt with straps to secure along the pack frame, and increase the width of the hanging horns on the top of the frame to allow a rifle sling to slide into easier.

Order was processed and shipped very quickly. Canāt wait to try it out on my next hunt!

As is my shoulder harness had so many issues with the load lifters coming out of the frame slot. after a couple dozen times and cussing I stopped counting but needless to say just about every time I put the pack on I had to take it off to put a load lifter back into the frame slot.

Love this frame. Extremely comfortable with any amount of weight loaded. First season using this pack system and itās been amazing with the massive support and comfort of the pack. 100% recommend for anyone needing to up your pack system

I absolutely love running the initial ascent daypack I just got home from a mountain goat hunt and I packed in with the 8k bag, stripped the 8k bag at camp and then used the daypack hiking and chasing goats for a week, now Iām in elk camp and doing the same thing it carryās everything I need for one day!
Carter W.5/5Verified
This pack is the best pack hands down! Donāt sleep on these and get one as soon as you can. You wonāt regret it!
